PVHS parents and students have been blatantly ignoring Walgreens signs that disallow them from using the parking lot.

The unnecessary traffic with the PV students has caused customers of the Walgreens unable to get to the store in an orderly fashion. Which, years ago, these events have led Walgreens to put up signs indicating  that students are not allowed to be dropped off or picked up at the Walgreens.

Even though the signs are up, many parents and students have ignored the signs. None of the Walgreens employees have pressed charges.

“The traffic is unstoppable,”a Walgreens employee stated about the traffic.

When the signs first went up, they were unnoticed. None of the employees have made an effort to stop any of the traffic.

“I never even noticed them,”an employee confessed about the signs.

There might be quite a few signs up along the convenient store, but students don’t think they are that noticeable. Students say that their parents did not even know about the signs.

“We get customers complaining there’s nowhere to park,”another staff member of Walgreens stated, which is not deniable.

After school, there are already parents waiting for their children and still more parents coming in and stopping to pick up their children.

Walgreens has been complaining about the signs and the ongoing traffic from their students to PV administration. They have been informed since it was actually becoming a real problem. But  administration was never directly told about the signs.

“They have come to us complaining about elderly not being able to get into the store safely,”an administrator who was informed about the problem stated,“We don’t encourage it. We have a place for student pick up here at school.”

More than half of the students waiting outside for their ride did not even know about the signs, only a handful did. But there were students who knew about the signs, just chose to ignore them because no one seemed to be saying anything to them.

“If no one seems to care, then why does it matter?” Christian, a sophomore at PV, stated while waiting to get picked up.

The actions from the parents and students seems to be really interfering with the business of the Walgreens.

“We just want to be good neighbors,” administration stated, concerned with the situation.

Some employers do not even know about the signs. Students and parents do not know about the signs either. How will the problem ever be solved? If it is such a big problem with Walgreens, they need to take a stand and tell the unwanted no.
