Paradise Valley’s Student Government has not been seen around campus and some students claim that student government is not noticeable around campus. Students did not even know that Paradise Valley has a student government.

Freshman Noah Ross had no clue “I don’t know who they are because they didn’t make themselves known.”

Ross also said that “I didn’t even know we had one,” regarding a Student Government on campus.

However, Student Government members believe that they are more visible on campus. With the idea of setting the example being the motive for this year’s Student Government, members within the club defend why there are not more visible on campus.

President Jackie Moran stated that “STUGO is more focused on school, rather than promoting ourselves.”

She also commented that “on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most visible, STUGO is a 6.”

Moran also stated that “People don’t recognize STUGO, unless we make a mistake. Underclassmen, also, do not know the presence of Student Government on campus.

Other students believe that student government are nowhere to be found and never make themselves known.

Sophomore Khyra Z commented that Student Government should “be active” and “have the potential to be a good club, but need to take action in portraying themselves.” When asked how they could portray themselves, she pointed out that they need to fulfil their own expectations.

Another student government member, Bret Fitzgerald, said that “STUGO isn’t really a group that’s supposed to be in the spotlight.”

When asked how visible student government was on campus, Fitzgerald commented and said that it’s “probably as visible as it should be.”

He also added in that “it’s a class meant to create and promote events that bring together the student body. If anything, the students should be more visible than STUGO is.”

Both students and Student Government members agree that members are not visible on campus, because student government are more focused on setting up Homecoming as well as the upcoming spirit week.
