As students arrive at the end of first semester, many seniors are either rejoicing on their planned early graduation, or preparing for one final semester. It was a long year. Some may argue it wasn’t the best in regards to certain happenstances this year, but in the end, we all made it through another year. With 2017 just over the horizon, Paradise Valley High School is still a fantastic place for aspiring young adults to attend.
There are some things to be taken away from this school year. Things that can be learned from a classroom, whether it be, work ethic, class participation, or just showing PRIDE. We have all grown from these experiences which will define us as people for the rest of our lives. This is where, you decide what you learned this year, how you would say it has made you different as a person.
Personally, I would say I have learned a lot in journalism class and writing stories for the Trojan Wall news website. I learned how important the quality of my work is, and how challenging it must be for our editors to do the excellent work they do. My gratitude goes out to them and my other fellow writers, and my teacher, Mr. Hall, especially. I thank him for his teaching methods, shaping my writing skills and giving me an interest in journalism. As a final note, I would like to thank all the readers out there for their support this year, and on behalf of myself and the Trojan Wall staff, happy holidays, and have a successful 2017.
