It is that time of the year where people are surrounded by their loved ones and amazing food: loads of turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and more.
That’s right! Thanksgiving is just around the corner! It is time to not only be grateful for the things one has but also to eat a lot on the break. Many people have foods such as corn, stuffing, ham, and turkey on their dinner table. Along with delicious desserts like pies and cookies.
Thanksgiving is not only about the delicious food but also about being grateful for the things one has. Most of the students’ number one response for what they are thankful for was their family and friends. Senior Catalina Ojeda Perez was one of the many students that said she was thankful for her family. She is also thankful for, “ My education, the internet, and avocado”.
Students are also thankful for their accomplishments. Cecilia Sanchez Castillo, a former student at PVHS said she was thankful for, “Being able to get a degree in health care and being able to work in the field right after college”. Around this time of year, people realize what they are really thankful for and how much their loved ones mean to them.
Many students at PVHS celebrate Thanksgiving. There are some who don’t due to their religion but are still thankful for things like a lot of people. Overall, PVHS should enjoy the things they have in life and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
